Flood Map for Lancaster Residences

It is almost rainy season again and it is just the right time to post a flood map. It is however been part of the marketing platform of Pro-Friends, the developer of Lancaster Estates where Lancaster Residences is part of this project in Alapan, Imus, Cavite, that their Lancaster Estates project is flood-free. Let us be objective and use the following information from Nababaha.com if this is indeed 100% factual.
Nababaha.com is a non-profit project of the members of the Volcano-Tectonics Laboratory of the National Institute of Geological Sciences of University of the Philippines. The flood map data below is a result of their 3D flow analysis software to simulate flood depending on the amount of rainfall. The topographical data is based from SRTM or NASA's Shuttle Radar Topography Mission that mapped the earth's topography while on space.

The map below is the flood map for Lancaster Residences 1-7

And below was a chart made by one of its homeowners during the habagat rains of August 2012 that flooded the whole subdivision from 2:00AM to 4:30AM

Actual Flood Level

Please take note that the population of the subdivision has doubled over the months since the data was gathered while the drainage system to which the diameter is only about 6 inches throughout the subdivision still has not changed and therefore the flood probability should be higher now.

Due to this, homeowners are encouraged to provide measures for preemptive planning.
